Megan Butler has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006. Megan began as an instructional paraprofessional at McKinnon Elementary School and later worked as a designer for the Design Outreach Program at the University of San Francisco. From 2007 to 2010, they served as an Assistant Language Teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. Megan then joined Legendary Women, Inc. in 2009, where they worked as a graphic designer, copywriter, and scriptwriter. Megan co-wrote a script and designed various materials for a crowdfunded commercial that received media coverage. In 2012, they joined JETRO as a PR Marketing Assistant, handling marketing materials and website updates, and analyzing website and social media data. Megan also worked at the Editorial Engineering Laboratory as an English Translator, translating a mobile app game and advising on game screen design. Megan then joined GreenBook in 2014 as a Design and Marketing Specialist, creating branding for conferences, designing event collateral, coding email campaigns, and maintaining event websites and video libraries. Most recently, they became the Creative Director at SōRSE Technology in 2019, overseeing creative direction and maintaining branding across all channels, designing marketing materials and campaigns.
Megan Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Graphic Design from the University of San Francisco in 2007. In 2006, they also briefly attended Sophia University, although no degree or field of study is specified. Additionally, Megan holds a certification in JLPT Level 2 from the Japanese Language Placement Test.
