Alfred Lam, PhD

Alfred Lam, PhD has a long and varied work experience. Alfred began their career in 2012 as an Analyst at Chrysalix Venture Capital, a leading early-stage VC specializing in market-driven industrial innovation. Alfred then moved up to Vice President and Partner roles at the company. In 2013, they became an Angel Investor at Enterra Feed Corporation. In 2014, they joined Axine Water Technologies as a Board Member (Observer). In 2016, they joined Primus Power as a Board Member (Observer). In 2017, they became Co-founder & Board Director at Mangrove Lithium and a Board Member (Observer) at General Fusion. In 2019, they joined Liminal Insights Inc. as a Board Member (Director). Finally, in 2020, they joined Sortera Alloys, Inc. as a Board Member (Director) and in 2021 they joined Applied Impact Robotics as a Board Member (Observer). In 2022, they joined Helmee Imaging Ltd. as a Board Member (Director).

Alfred Lam obtained their BASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2003. Alfred then went on to obtain their PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia in 2009, with a focus on Electrochemistry & Fuel Cells in the Wilkinson Lab.
