Manuel Garcia

Manuel Garcia is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of Sortera Alloys. He was the senior scientist and engineer for the ARPA-E METALS project in which the AI sorting software was originally developed. He developed the semantic segmentation techniques and demonstrated the sensor fusion with artificial intelligence on Sortera’s current commercial sorters. He has over 5 patents, 4 allowed, pending for his work in advanced technology, including multiple A.I. based patents. These allowed patents include a material sorting system and a material sorting system using artificial intelligence. He has over 15 years of experience developing machinery with advanced technologies.
