SOS Silence of Suicide

SOS Silence of Suicide was founded by Michael and Yvette Mansfield in 2015, following personal losses to suicide. We approach everything we do based on being human and being humane, offering the same standards of care to everyone, through our team of employees and volunteers. Locally, and nationally, we support children, young people and adults struggling with poor emotional health, self harm and suicidal ideation, through our freephone helpline, in the community online, in person group meetings, within the workplace and shortly, through our first ever SOS Hub, which will be a drop in, support haven and networking safe space for the vulnerable. 2023 is a year of great importance and a large step forward for SOS, whose revenue this year has risen massively thanks to significant new & ongoing donor support, allowing us to deliver more, deliver better and help improve the lives of people who really need us with the aid or resources we previously could not enlist. SOS have worked with retailers, other charities, GP services, housing associations, universities, schools, Government departments and many other businesses and organisations so that potentially life saving conversations are not only started, but continued. If anyone (business, member of the public, etc) wants to talk to us about hosting a group talking event, then please write to contact@sossilenceofsuicide.org . If you're an employer and want to discuss how we can help assess and made positive adjustments for your workforce within your working environment, then please contact us on the email address above.
