Thies Wollesen

Thies Wollesen is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in data, insights, and investment management. Currently serving as the Director of Data & Insights at SoSafe since October 2020, Thies has held various leadership roles within the company, including Strategy Project Leader and Head of Customer Success & Analytics. Previous experience includes working as an Investment Manager at STS Ventures GmbH, where responsibilities included sourcing and evaluating early-stage software businesses. Thies also gained consulting experience as a Visiting Associate at The Boston Consulting Group and acquired foundational skills in finance as an Intern M&A at Raymond James. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Mannheim, alongside early education at Bucerius Law School and secondary schooling culminating in the German Abitur. Thies is also a co-founder of a social business project in rural Togo, demonstrating a commitment to impactful economic development.
