Bj Lehmann

BJ Lehmann has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. BJ is currently the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Sotera Health, LLC since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Athersys from 2001 to 2022, where they held the positions of President, Chief Operating Officer, and Board Secretary. In this role, they were responsible for fundraising, new business development, and strategic efforts globally. BJ also managed various functions such as licensing, collaboration management, legal, quality assurance, and regulatory. Before joining Athersys, they worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal from 1994 to 2001. BJ also held roles at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and First Chicago Corporation earlier in their career.

BJ Lehmann has earned a Juris Doctorate, with Distinction, from Stanford Law School. They also hold a Masters Business Administration with a focus on Finance, earning Beta Gamma Sigma honors, from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Furthermore, they have a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
