David Allison

David Allison, Ph.D. joined 5AM Ventures in 2016 and is a partner in the San Francisco office. Previously, Dr. Allison was a Principal at Versant Ventures where he was involved in the firm’s investments in both North America and Europe. Before Versant, Dr. Allison worked with the healthcare team at Split Rock Partners and PTV Healthcare Capital. Dr. Allison received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University with a focus on the extracellular matrix in cardiovascular disease. He received a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Iowa.
