Jonathan Major

Jonathan Major has extensive work experience in various leadership positions in the fields of cybersecurity, technology, and strategic advisory. Jonathan is the founder of Risk/Response and has served as the Fractional CTO at Soteria - Security Solutions & Advisory. Jonathan has also held roles as a Fractional CISO at Askmee, Bitvore, and Westhill, where they were also a Fractional CTO. Jonathan has worked as a Strategic Advisor at Proga Digital and a Fractional CISO Consultant at Code Red Partners. Additionally, Jonathan has served as a Fractional CISO at UpHealth, Inc. and Venga Global. Prior to that, they were the Founding VP of Engineering and Chief Security Officer at Crux Informatics, where they led various departments and played a key role in the company's growth and funding cycles. Jonathan Major completed their education at Queen's University Belfast from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2017, they completed the "Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals" course on Coursera. Jonathan further enhanced their skills by completing the "Getting Started with Google Kubernetes Engine" course on Coursera in 2018. In 2020, Jonathan obtained the "AWS Security Fundamentals (Second Edition)" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Most recently, in 2022, they acquired the "Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure" certification from Qwiklabs. Jonathan also has additional certifications such as "ITIL v3 Foundation Course," "Java for C++ Programmers," "MFC Development using MSDEV 5.0," "Object Oriented Analysis & Design," "Parasoft SOAtest Training," "SilkCentral Test Manager," "SilkTest Level I Certified," and "Verification Testing SilkPerformer and SilkPerformer: Results/Analysis Correlation," although the institutions and dates of completion for these certifications are not provided.
