Norbert Prenzel

Norbert Prenzel has worked in various business development and licensing roles throughout their career. Norbert began in 1998 as a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry. In 2001, they co-founded U3 Pharma GmbH and served as the Manager of Business Development until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Business Development & Strategy Consultant at Staatz Business Development & Strategy. Norbert then joined Micromet GmbH in 2011 as the Director of Business Development. In 2012, they moved to Amgen as the Licensing Director until 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Business Development and Licensing at SOTIO, starting in 2015.

Norbert Prenzel has a diverse education history. Norbert obtained a Diploma in Chemistry from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg in 1997 and went on to complete their PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry Martinsried and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 1997 to 2001. Norbert then pursued an EMBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, specializing in Economics, from 2007 to 2009. In addition, Norbert earned an MBA degree (Kellogg/WHU) with a focus on Economics from Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA in 2007-2008. It is also worth mentioning that Norbert was associated with the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, where they pursued a PhD in Biochemistry.
