Casey Grooms has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2006, Casey worked as a Financial Analyst at Wells Fargo & Company for four years. In 2010, Casey co-founded and served as the CEO of Bon La Vu, a company that sold exclusive outfits sourced from local and indie designers. Casey then co-founded Pocketmath in 2011, where they served as a Co-Founder and Board Member, helping to establish the world's largest self-serve mobile advertising platform. In 2015, Casey became an investor in Uninstall.io, an organization that was later acquired by MaNaDr Mobile Health. From 2016, Casey became an investor in MidBoss, a game and media production studio known for projects promoting LGBTQ representation in gaming. In 2018, Casey joined Thalamus, Inc as the Head of Strategy & User Acquisition. That same year, Casey founded Userbase, a mobile app install agency specializing in user acquisition for high-volume clients. In 2021, Casey became a General Partner at Rhinocorn Ventures, a venture capital pledge fund focused on secondaries and co-investments. More recently, Casey has taken on the role of Investor at Curie, a Generative AI startup aimed at revolutionizing 3D asset production in e-commerce. Additionally, in 2022, Casey co-founded Soulbound, a gamer profile platform and network aimed at helping users build and showcase their gaming profiles.
Casey Grooms attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2002 to 2006. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics.
