Garry Dempster

Throughout their career, Garry Dempster has held various key roles in reputable companies in the oil and gas industry. Garry started as a Structural Engineer at Halliburton in 1995, eventually moving on to Total E&P and Shell as a Commercial Advisor. At DONG Energy, they served as a UK Commercial & Business Development Manager before working their way up to Director and then Senior Director positions. In 2016, they established PETUROS OIL & GAS LIMITED as CEO before taking on leadership roles at Sound Energy plc, where they served as Vice President Finance before being appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in 2021.

Garry Dempster obtained a Bsc (Hons) in Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University in 1993, followed by an MSc in Structural Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in 1995. Garry is also a Chartered Engineer certified by the Engineering Council.
