Dipti Chrastka

Director at Sound

Dipti Chrastka joined Sound’s board of directors in June 2021 and sits on the Operations and Quality Committees. With more than 30 years of experience in the behavioral health space, Chrastka was inspired to join Sound’s board because of her passion to create systemic-level changes that positively impact clinicians and their clients.

Chrastka began her professional career as a clinical psychologist, where she worked to develop a child guidance center and worked with children and families. Throughout her career, Chrastka has held a variety of roles in the community-based health arena, including her work at Crisis Connections where she provided oversight and strategic direction to its clinical service lines. Currently, Chrastka works as the director of wellness at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she manages program development and provides one-on-one counseling to residents in the program.

Hailing from India, Chrastka attended the University of Bombay where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in clinical psychology. Later, she completed a post master’s program in marriage and family therapy in the Seattle area.

Outside of her full-time position and Sound’s board, Chrastka volunteers with the Indian Association of Western Washington on an ad hoc basis, is a consultant for diversity and inclusion trainings for a variety of nonprofits and recently became a certified life coach. In addition, she plays professional table tennis, enjoys trying new sports and continues to perfect the five languages she speaks.
