Katrina Egner

VP & Chief Programs Officer at Sound

As Vice President & Chief Programs Officer at Sound, Katrina Egner is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Sound’s clinical programs and implementing new programs. In her role, Egner ensures that Sound clinical programs meet the needs of the community and health care system. Egner began her career at Sound as an intern and has been with the organization for more than 20 years.

Egner’s dedication to serving the community began in 1998. Prior to her current role, she worked as a director overseeing seven critical programs: Crisis Services, Admissions, the Transition Support Program, Re-Entry Case Management Services, the Housing Voucher Program, Specialty Court Clinicians, and Sound’s commercial insurance business line. Before that, she was a manager of Access and Crisis Services, Crisis Services coordinator and a mental health specialist. Egner’s direct service and management experience and her leadership skills have effectively prepared her in her current role on Sound’s executive team.

In Egner’s current leadership role, she has been integral in implementing Reaching Recovery – a model of service that customizes clients’ needs with the level or intensity of care offered by programs. This model focuses on instilling hope for clients and at the same time measuring outcomes clearly, improving the overall efficiency and quality of services offered at Sound.

Egner is a licensed mental health counselor and child mental health specialist. She has a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, and an MA in Couples and Family Therapy from Antioch University.
