Meg Taylor joined Sound’s board of directors in June 2021. Taylor has extensive experience working in the healthcare and finance industries, where she’s spent the majority of her career. She was specifically drawn to Sound because of the organization’s meaningful work with underserved populations.
Currently, Taylor is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Country Doctor Community Health Centers, a federally qualified health center that serves Seattle area communities in need. In her role as CFO, Taylor is responsible for organizational strategic planning, revenue cycle, compliance and reporting and financial oversight. Prior to her work at Country Doctor Community Health centers, Taylor held a variety of financial roles at healthcare organizations including Pierce County Accountable Community of Health and Providence Health and Services.
Outside of her full-time position, Taylor is a partner at Healthy Community Ventures, Inc., which is a consulting collaborative founded to help communities design and build sustainable platforms that support increased community equity, health and wellbeing. In addition, she’s a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and sits on the board for the University of Idaho’s Vandal Scholarship Fund.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance and another in accounting from the University of Idaho, Taylor moved to the Seattle area to be near her identical twin.
