Peter Bruton

Peter Bruton has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Peter started their career as a Summer Analyst at MD Global Partners in 2010, where they built discounted cash flow models and conducted research on the Chinese pharmaceutical landscape. Peter then joined Credit Suisse as an Analyst in 2011, working in the Global Industrials Group. In this role, they assisted senior bankers in capital raising and M&A transactions, preparing financial models and analyses.

Peter joined Sound Point Capital Management, LP in 2013 as a Credit Analyst, evaluating and monitoring investments in the term loan, distressed asset, and high yield space. Peter later became a Senior Credit Analyst, conducting fundamental credit research across various sectors. Since 2020, Peter has been serving as a Director, and currently as a Managing Director, responsible for conducting fundamental credit research on Chemicals, Metals, Building Products, and Energy sectors. Their responsibilities include sourcing and monitoring investment opportunities and performing financial modeling, relative value analysis, and legal document due diligence.

Peter Bruton completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at Davidson College from 2006 to 2010. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Management degree at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2010 to 2011.
