Anthony Pooley

Anthony Pooley is an experienced construction manager and geotechnical engineer with over 35 years in the industry. Currently serving as Principal Construction Manager at Sound Transit since September 2018, Pooley leads major projects including the West Seattle to Ballard Link Light Rail Extension and the Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension. Prior to this role, Pooley spent nearly two decades at Jacobs Engineering Group, overseeing large tunnel projects such as the Brightwater Conveyance as Project Manager. Pooley's extensive expertise includes tunnel design and construction management in various regions, including UK and Switzerland, with significant projects like the CERN CNGS for particle physics. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Soil Mechanics from Imperial College London and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Civil & Structural Engineering from Cardiff University.
