Barbara Luecke

Barbara Luecke is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public art integration and community engagement. Currently serving as Deputy Director for Public Art at Sound Transit since September 2006, Luecke oversees the inclusion of art in the Seattle area's transit system, managing project funding, artist selection, and project execution. As co-founder of the Fremont Solstice Parade since 1989, Luecke has played a pivotal role in creating a beloved annual celebration that attracts over 50,000 attendees. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Project Coordinator at 4Culture, where Luecke facilitated artist involvement in public projects across various sectors. Luecke's background is supported by a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The University of Kansas.
