Community Engagement Specialist at Sound Transit

Tamar Shuhendler is a dedicated community engagement professional with extensive experience in advocacy and organizing within various social justice frameworks. Currently serving as a Community Engagement Specialist at Sound Transit since November 2023, Tamar previously worked as a Community Organizer at Cascade Bicycle Club, where initiatives focused on environmental, transportation, and racial equity were led. Prior roles also include community organizing for NARAL Pro-Choice Washington, managing a food pantry as Social Services Coordinator at The ARK, and contributing to social justice discourse through writing and editorial positions. Tamar holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Affairs from Lewis & Clark College.
