Byung K. has over 10 years of experience in the software engineering field. In 2008, they began working at Blue Nile as a Software Support Engineer, where they scraped competitor websites for BI using Perl/Regex, provided solutions for mission critical system failures, and fetched data from Oracle DB. In 2009, they moved to Ingeniux Corporation as a Social Software Developer, where they built Content/Asset Management solutions. In 2011, they joined Mercent (which was later acquired by CommerceHub) as a Software Engineer, where they worked on a .NET SaaS Platform. In 2015, they moved to CommerceHub as a Senior Software Engineer, Mercent Retail. Finally, in 2018, they joined SoundCommerce as a Software Engineer, where they worked on an Operations Data Platform for consumer brands and retailers.

Byung K. received their B.S. in Computer Science from Neumont College of Computer Science between 2006 and 2008. Byung then obtained four certifications from Microsoft between May and June of 2014, including MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional, MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, MCSD: Web Applications, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: Web Applications.
