Nir Yungster

Nir Yungster began their work experience at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in 2007, where they worked as a Fluid Dynamics Engineer until 2009. Nir then transitioned to Northwestern University, where they served as a Research Assistant from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, Yungster co-founded and organized DataPoint, a one-day conference in New York City for the data science community. In 2015, they also joined YouNow, Inc. as a Data Scientist until 2016. Yungster then joined JW Player in 2016 and held various roles including Data Scientist, Lead Data Scientist, Director of Data Science, and finally, VP of Data from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, they joined Sounder as the Head of AI.

Nir Yungster holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics from Northwestern University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Engineering (B.S.E.) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. Additionally, Nir has completed the Management for Scientists and Engineers Certificate Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
