Brad Prendergast

Brad Prendergast serves as Assistant General Counsel for Licensing & Enforcement at SoundExchange since January 2010, previously holding the title of Senior Counsel in the same department. At SoundExchange, the non-profit organization specializing in collecting statutory royalties for music streaming services, Brad plays a pivotal role in licensing and enforcement matters. Prior to his tenure at SoundExchange, Brad worked as Counsel at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP from September 2004 to January 2010 and held various positions, including Associate and Editor in Chief at the Virginia Journal of Law & Technology. Brad's career began at Braun Consulting, Inc. as an Associate from September 1998 to August 2001. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from the University of Notre Dame.
