Brad Herget

Brad Herget's work experience begins with their current position as an IT Technician & Business Analyst at SoundWay Consulting Inc. Brad is responsible for managing Commercial and US Government Cloud Azure instances and providing helpdesk support to end-users.

Prior to this, Brad worked as a Logistics Management Analyst at HII Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. In this role, they managed equipment databases, performed inventory auditing, created commercial invoices, and ensured compliance with export regulations.

Brad also served as the Assistant Director: Event Services and Technology at Sam Houston State University. Brad supervised a team of student staff and was involved in various event-related operations. Brad implemented new policies related to event management and technical procedures.

Before joining Sam Houston State University, Brad was an Event Technology Coordinator at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Brad managed a team of student technicians and provided training on audio, lighting, and AV systems.

Earlier in their career, Brad worked as a Technical and Event Services Crew member at Frostburg State University. Brad provided technical support to students and the campus community, operated advanced AV equipment, and acted as the primary audio engineer for national and international acts.

Brad Herget earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Frostburg State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In addition, they received a certification as a Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate from Microsoft in May 2023.
