Amir Chen

Amir Chen is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the hospitality and finance sectors. As Director and Co-Founder of Democratic Holdings Limited since February 2015, Amir has played a pivotal role in developing restaurants inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine. Concurrently, Amir serves as an Angel Investor and Advisory Board Member for Soupologie, as well as an Advisory Board Member for Yoyo, a mobile payment platform. Prior to these roles, Amir was Owner and CEO of Apostrophe Cafés from May 2004 to July 2014, where Amir established a prominent bakery-café brand across London and major airports. Amir also has a strong financial background, having worked as an Executive Director at Lehman Brothers from 1989 to 2002, focusing on tech investment banking and corporate finance. Amir Chen holds a BSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
