Rachel Bishop

Rachel Bishop, CPA has over 19 years of work experience in various roles related to tax credits and accounting. Rachel is currently working as a Sr. Tax Guru at GOAT.tax since May 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Director of R&D Tax Credits at Source Advisors from July 2018 onwards. Rachel also had a long tenure at Black Line Group, where they held positions such as Director of R&D Tax Credits, R&D Tax Credit Senior Manager, R&D Tax Credit Manager, and R&D Tax Credit Senior Associate, spanning from 2004 to July 2018. Before joining Black Line Group, they worked as a Cost Accountant at Occidental Chemical Corporation from December 2002 to August 2004.

Rachel Bishop, CPA started their education by obtaining a BBA degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Oklahoma. This degree was completed from 1997 to 2002. During this time, they also completed advanced level coursework in Biology.

Following their bachelor's degree, Rachel pursued further education at the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas from 2002 to 2004. However, they did not complete their MBA degree. Their field of study at UT Dallas included Management Information Systems (MIS), with an emphasis on Accounting and Tax.

In addition to their education, Rachel Bishop obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2011.
