Kai Wang

Kai Wang is a seasoned thermal engineer with extensive experience in the automotive and research sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Thermal Engineer at SOURCE Global since May 2021, Kai has previously contributed to Ford Motor Company as a Research Engineer, where work focused on cabin climate management systems for electrified vehicles and automotive air-conditioning simulations. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Research Associate at the University of Maryland, Thermal Engineer at Panasonic R&D Centre, and Research Assistant at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Educational qualifications include a Post-Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, highlighted by two patents for innovative cooling technologies.
