Chris Jones has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. In 2005, they worked as an Outbound Sales Representative at Actors Theatre of Louisville. The following year, they worked as a Package Handler at UPS. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a 3rd Key Manager at Sam Goody, where they were responsible for various managerial tasks. Chris then worked as a Claims Processor at SHPS for a few months before joining the United States Air Force as a Cryptologic Linguist in 2009. Chris served in this role until 2018. Starting in 2018, Chris became a Mentor at Code Louisville, where they taught adults programming skills using various languages, including React JS and Ruby on Rails. Chris currently works as a Software Engineer at Sourceability LLC, a role they started in 2020. In terms of certifications, Chris obtained the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification from CompTIA in August 2014. Chris also holds the Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google Cloud Platform, which they obtained in March 2019. Furthermore, they earned the Security+ and Network+ certifications from CompTIA in September 2017 and April 2017, respectively.

In 2016 and 2017, Chris pursued a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp, focusing on computer software engineering.
