Marcelo Pimentel

Marcelo Pimentel is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in retail and operations management. Currently serving as a board member and CEO at GPA since March 2022, and as the chairman of the board at Stix since April 2022, Marcelo has previously contributed to Westwing Brasil as a board member from September 2021 to July 2023. Marcelo's leadership roles include serving as CEO and Operations Vice President at Lojas Marisa from June 2017 to March 2022, overseeing a chain of 384 department stores with over 13,000 employees. As the Director of Retail Operations at Grupo DPSP from June 2015 to May 2017, Marcelo managed operations for the second largest drugstore retail chain in Brazil. Prior experience includes significant positions at Walmart and Asda Wal-Mart in the UK, as well as at Sainsbury's. Marcelo holds a Post-Graduate degree in Management Studies from Birmingham City University and a Bachelor's degree in Management Studies and International Trade from Faculdade Batista Carioca.
