John Lamola

John Lamola currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer, Chairperson of the Board, and Executive Chairman at South African Airways since July 2021. Prior to this role, John held the position of Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg from August 2020 to April 2022. John's academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration in Airline and Aviation Projects Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, obtained between January 1999 and December 2000, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy and Religious Studies from The University of Edinburgh, completed from August 1988 to December 1991.
