David Fowkes

David Fowkes is an experienced professional currently serving as Adviser to the Governors and Senior Economist at the South African Reserve Bank since January 2013. Fowkes has also held academic positions as an Instructor at Johns Hopkins University SAIS from October 2011 to August 2012 and as an Adjunct Professor at American University from January 2012 to June 2012. Fowkes earned a PhD in Comparative Politics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) between 2007 and 2011, following a comprehensive education at the University of the Witwatersrand, where Fowkes obtained a BA, BA (Hons), and MA in International Relations and Politics, Philosophy from 2001 to 2005.
