Samantha Springfield

Samantha Springfield has extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as the Head of Department: International Economic Relations & Policy at the South African Reserve Bank since October 2004. In this role, Samantha manages international engagements, including participation in G20, BRICS, IMF, and BIS discussions. Previous positions at the South African Reserve Bank include roles as Head of Market Operations & Analysis and Assistant General Manager of Financial Market Research. Earlier experience includes serving as a Fixed Income Economist at Standard Bank from January 2001 to September 2004. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics, Honours in Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Rhodes University, complemented by Matric from Umtata High School.
