Liz Watts

Chief Executive at South Cambridgeshire District Council

Liz Watts is the current Chief Executive at South Cambridgeshire District Council. Liz has previously worked as the Chief Executive at East Herts District Council, Director at West Suffolk Councils, and Chief Finance Officer at St Edmundsbury Borough Council. Liz began their career in 1992 as the General Manager of The Old Town Hall Arts Centre for Spelthorne Borough Council. Liz then spent three years as the Assistant to the Chief Executive of The Refugee Council before becoming Communications Manager for CARE. In 2002, Liz became Deputy Director of Resources for the Office of the High Representative and held that position until 2008.

Liz Watts has a Doctorate in Business from the University of the West of England, an Executive Coaching Level 5 certification from the Institute of Leadership and Management, and professional accounting and finance exams from the ACCA. Liz also has an MBA in distance learning from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, and a scholarship in womens' studies from The College of William and Mary. Lastly, they have a MA in Moral Philosophy and Logic & Metaphysics from St Andrews University.
