Brian Thill

Brian Thill has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Brian began their career as a Conservation Corps Crew Member with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in 1993. Brian then worked as a Canoe Laborer at Wenonah Canoe from 1996 to 1997.

In 1997, Thill joined the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Wildlife Education Assistant, where they assisted in producing and distributing environmental and outdoor skills publications.

Brian transitioned to the Land Stewardship Project in 1998 as a Community Organizer, working with farmers to promote environmentally sustainable and socially just agriculture. The following year, they became the Director of Education for YMCA Camp Thunderbird's Environmental Education Center, managing the daily operations of the residential learning center.

Thill worked at the South Carolina Aquarium from 2006 as the Director of Education, overseeing interpretive, education, and conservation programming. In 2017, they also volunteered as a Cross Country Coach for the College of Charleston, supporting student athletes and assisting coaching staff.

Brian Thill began their education in 1992 at the University of Alaska Anchorage where they studied Biology/Education. Brian then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1994 and completed their Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management with a focus on Environmental Education & Interpretation in 1997. In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained a certification in Successful Business Start-ups from Trident Technical College in 2018. Brian is also a Certified Interpretive Guide, although the specific year of certification is unknown.
