Adam Paige

Adam Paige has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Currently, they are the Director of Workforce Initiatives at the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Career & Employability Resources at Tri-County Technical College from May 2021 to May 2023. Adam'sresponsibilities included overseeing career and employability resources for students.

From October 2018 to May 2021, Adam worked as an Internship and Recruiting Coordinator in the Political Science and International Affairs department at The University of Georgia. Adam'srole included coordinating internship placements and recruiting efforts.

Before that, they worked as an Employment Consultant at the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency from June 2017 to October 2018, assisting individuals with disabilities in finding employment opportunities.

Adam has also worked as a Case Manager at the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program from January 2014 to June 2014, conducting interviews and assessments for probationers and developing treatment plans.

Additionally, they served as an Offender Workforce Development Specialist at Nottoway Correctional Center from July 2011 to January 2014. In this role, they provided career-related services, collaborated with professionals, and arranged collaboration meetings between released offenders and employers.

Adam's earlier experience includes working as an Employment Resource Facilitator at Goodwill Industries International from 2010 to 2011, where they advised job seekers and developed service plans. Adam also worked as a Youth Counselor at the Petersburg Office On Youth from 2009 to 2010, counseling students and providing job placement assistance.

From 2002 to 2006, they attended the University of South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.

Adam then pursued further education at the same university from 2006 to 2008, obtaining a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

In addition, in March 2011, they obtained a Global Career Development Facilitator certification from GCDF Instructor on-line NECA's Working Ahead, Moving Forward.
