Brandon Wilkerson

Brandon Wilkerson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brandon started their career at Standard & Poor's as a Financial Writer/Editor, where they edited the publication Industry Surveys and contributed to the website NetAdvantage. Brandon then moved on to the University of Georgia as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, where they taught American Government and assisted with exam grading and student consultations. Brandon later joined the Governor's Office of Student Achievement as a Research & Evaluation Specialist, where they conducted research, program evaluations, and data analysis for statewide education projects. Brandon then joined the South Carolina Department of Commerce, initially as a Senior Research & Business Officer and later as the Head of Research/Research Manager. In these roles, they managed a research and data team, wrote the South Carolina Economic Outlook, and provided analysis on various economic indicators to attract businesses to the state. Their most recent work experience is as the Director of Labor Market Analytics at the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, where they are responsible for overseeing labor market analysis.

Brandon Wilkerson attended the University of Virginia from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature. Brandon then went on to pursue further education at the University of Georgia from 2011 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a Policy Specialization.
