Betsy Goodale

Betsy Goodale is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in pro bono services and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Private Attorney and Community Engagement at South Carolina Legal Services since January 2023, Betsy previously held the role of Director of the Pro Bono Program at the South Carolina Bar from September 2018 to October 2022. Betsy's legal career began at the South Carolina Supreme Court, where responsibilities included serving as Chief Staff Attorney and Staff Attorney from August 1991 to August 2018. Betsy holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University.
