Mark Lester

Mark Lester serves as the Information Security Manager at South Carolina State Ports Authority since June 2015, overseeing cybersecurity budgets and managing DHS FEMA Grant funding to enhance maritime cybersecurity. In addition, Mark is an Adjunct Professor at The Citadel, teaching "Principles and Practices of Cybersecurity" in a nationally recognized program. With extensive experience as a CISO Consultant for MBO Partners and prior roles as an Information System Security Engineer at Sotera Defense Solutions and Project Operations Officer at Honeywell, Mark specializes in risk reduction and information system protection. Early career roles include managing projects at Achieve Solutions and serving as Headmaster at Low Country Academy, showcasing a diverse professional background. Mark holds a BS in Business Administration from The Citadel and an MBA from Charleston Southern University.
