Robert Hawks

Robert Hawks, GISP, serves as the Geographic Information Systems Manager for the South Carolina Ports Authority since July 2022, overseeing GIS operations for public seaport facilities in Charleston and Georgetown, as well as Inland Ports in Greer and Dillon. Prior to this role, Robert held the position of GIS Manager for the City of Cayce from August 2017 to July 2022 and previously worked as a GIS Analyst/Technician within the city's Utilities Department. Robert's earlier experience includes serving as a GIS Analyst/Cartographer at the Institute for Families in Society (UofSC) from September 2011 to August 2017 and as a GIS/Planning Intern at the Central Midlands Council of Governments from July 2010 to July 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geospatial Information Science from Kent State University (2020-2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography from the University of South Carolina (2000-2011).
