Matthew Whitehouse

Matthew Whitehouse serves as the Observatory Manager at the South Carolina State Museum since August 2013, bringing a wealth of experience in astronomy and public engagement. Prior roles include Counselor and Instructor at The University of Arizona Astronomy Camp from June 2006 to June 2013 and Public Program Specialist at Kitt Peak National Observatory from November 2007 to August 2010. Matthew holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The University of Arizona (2012), a Master of Music in Organ Performance from The University of Arizona (2007), and a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from The University of South Carolina (2008).
