Michael Cook is a professional with extensive experience in sports media and event operations. Currently serving as the Director of Game Operations for the South Carolina Stingrays since October 2021, Cook previously held positions at the Charleston RiverDogs and served as a Videographer for the Stingrays earlier in 2021. Cook’s background includes work as a Digital Initiatives Assistant at the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation, where responsibilities involved preparing broadcast equipment for the athletic season. Cook also contributed to Coastal Carolina University as a Digital Media Assistant, directing and managing live streams and broadcasts. Earlier roles included event operations at Grand Park Sports Complex and serving as a co-host and producer for a radio show. Michael holds a degree in Recreation and Sport Management with a focus on Sports Media from Coastal Carolina University.

The South Carolina Stingrays are a professional ECHL ice hockey team based in North Charleston, South Carolina and are the affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and American Hockey League's (AHL) Hershey Bears. The Stingrays are in the South Division of the ECHL's Eastern Conference and play home games at the North Charleston Coliseum.
