Ben Wathen

Ben Wathen serves as the Chief Operating Officer at South Central Bank since May 2020, following a significant tenure as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Citizens Union Bank from March 2012 to May 2020. With a strong background in loan operations and retail banking management, Ben has excelled in roles including Vice President of Loan Operations and Chief Operating Officer at Town and Country Bank and Trust Co. Notably, Ben held the position of President & CEO at Your Community Bank (Kentucky) and has accumulated extensive experience in roles across various banks, progressing from Teller at Decatur Federal to significant leadership positions. Ben holds a B.A. in Economics and an Associate of Arts in Banking from Western Kentucky University, complemented by advanced studies at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
