South Central Community Action Program is a nonprofit organization based in Bloomington, Indiana that has served low-income people for more than 55 years. Our mission is to provide opportunities for low-income individuals and families to achieve personal and economic independence. We serve more than 4,000 families annually, representing more than 9,000 individuals in Brown, Monroe, Morgan, and Owen counties. SCCAP administers the Energy Assistance Program, Housing Choice Opportunities, and Weatherization in all four counties, while providing Head Start & Early Head Start, Growing Opportunities, and Thriving Connections in Monroe County. The Finance and Operations team at the South Central Community Action Program manages the organization's financial health and supports operational efficiency. The Fiscal Controller oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. The IDA Coordinator and Finance Specialist handles individual development accounts and financial assistance programs. The Business Administration and Operations Intern assists with administrative tasks, operational improvements, and financial tracking. Together, they ensure that SCCAP can effectively deliver its programs and services to low-income individuals and families in the community.
