Charles Bertrand has extensive experience in the building inspection and recovery specialist fields, currently serving as a Building Inspector at South Central Planning and Development Commission since December 2021 and previously in the same role from September 2014 to December 2017. Additional roles include Recovery Specialist at Dilly Management, Outside Sales Representative at Lowe's Companies, Inc., and Driver positions at Lyft and Uber, all held since 2020. Prior to these positions, Charles Bertrand worked as a Recovery Specialist at DCMC Partners and held the title of Senior Building Inspector at Calcasieu Parish Police Jury from June 2004 to September 2014. SCPDC South Central Planning and Development Commission performs a variety of services to meet the ever changing needs and challenges of its member governments - St Charles, St John, St James, Assumption, Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes and the six municipalities contained within. These services include long range planning, state and federal liaison, current issues, membership services and services to business and citizens. We also house the Houma -Thibodaux MPO and do transportation planning in all six of our parishes. In all, South Central Planning is a diverse, ever changing Commission serving many different constituencies - made specially for (and by) local governments in the South Central Region of Louisiana. Members of the MPO include local government officials as well as representatives from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Federal Transit Association.
