Harvey Kong

Harvey Kong is a skilled news reporter currently working at South China Morning Post SCMP since June 2021, following a position as a Graduate Trainee Reporter. Prior to SCMP, Harvey served as a Video Journalist at AFP from June 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities included covering protests and district council elections in Hong Kong, as well as setting up and shooting live video coverage. Earlier experience includes a Video Intern role at AFP, focusing on video preparation for distribution and coverage of significant events, alongside a similar internship at The Associated Press, where Harvey researched feature story ideas and produced video content. Harvey holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from The University of Hong Kong, completed in 2021, with a concentration in Journalism, Politics, and Public Administration.
