Matthew Ceja

Matthew Ceja is a Federal Policy Analyst at the South Coast Air Quality Management District since June 2024. Previously, Matthew served as a Policy Advisor in the United States Senate, managing energy, transportation, air quality, water, and climate policy issues. Matthew's extensive experience in the U.S. House of Representatives includes roles as Senior Legislative Assistant and Legislative Assistant, where responsibilities encompassed staffing committee hearings, drafting remarks, managing diverse policy portfolios, and successfully passing significant legislation. Early career roles included positions as Legislative Correspondent, Staff Assistant, and Intern, where Matthew demonstrated skills in digital outreach, office management, and legislative research. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from California State University, Fullerton.
