Arthur Smith, PhD, LAADC-CA, currently serves as a Group Facilitator at South Coast Behavioral Health since January 2020, and has extensive experience in leading psychoeducational and process groups in addiction recovery. Previously, Arthur held similar roles at South Coast Recovery, Sobertec, LLC, and Rock Solid Recovery, where responsibilities included developing group curricula and documentation for utilization review. With additional roles as Case Manager and Addiction Treatment Counselor, Arthur has provided individual and group counseling as well as coordinated treatment services for clients with substance abuse disorders. Arthur's academic background includes a PhD in Religion, an MA in Philosophy, an MPA in Public Administration, and a BA in Philosophy, all from distinguished universities.
