Gil Garcia

Gil Garcia, CPA has a wealth of experience in financial management and accounting. Gil served as the Chief Financial Officer for South Coast Community Service and South Coast Children's Society from August 2018 to the present. Gil also held the position of VP of Finance at South Coast Community Services from June 2017 to August 2018. Prior to that, Gil was the Chief Financial Officer at LK Health, a healthcare provider offering a range of services from September 2016 to June 2017. Gil also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Cingular Staffing from November 2014 to September 2016.

Before transitioning to healthcare and staffing, Gil gained extensive experience in media companies. Gil was the Chief Financial Officer at EC Hispanic Media | El Clasificado from October 2004 to June 2014. During their tenure, they played a vital role in the company's revenue growth and oversaw the financial and accounting functions. Prior to that, Gil worked at La Opinion as the Chief Financial Officer from January 1988 to September 2004 and as a Controller from October 1986 to January 1988. In their role at La Opinion, they managed the finance and accounting department, implemented improvements in accounts receivable, and was involved in strategic planning and budgeting.

Gil Garcia, CPA completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Loyola Marymount University from 1980 to 1983. Prior to that, they studied Economics at Harvard University from 1978 to 1980.
