Samuel Tang

Samuel Tang is the Vice President of Advancement at South Coast Repertory. Prior to their current position, they were the Managing Director at Pacific Life from January 1999 to December 2004. At Pacific Life, they co-managed a $1.25 billion private equity portfolio, setting investment strategy, developing tactics and implementing logistics. Over an 8 year period, they generated $1.2 billion and $530 million of cash distributions and net income, respectively, representing an average annual return of 12.8%.

Before their time at Pacific Life, Mr. Tang was the Managing Partner at The Shidler Group from January 1989 to December 1999. At The Shidler Group, they developed and formed the firm's investments in finance, insurance and real estate companies, many of which became publicly traded companies.

After getting their MBA from UCLA, Samuel Tang started their career in finance and real estate. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in accounting at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.

They work with Adrian S. Griggs - Vice President, Finance, Michael Ray - Vice President, Community Relations, and Sarah J. Anderson - Vice President, Development. Their manager is J. Steven Duncan, President.
