Brian Wood, CBTE, is an experienced engineering and broadcast professional with a robust background in sports and live event production. Currently serving as the Studios Engineering Manager at SDPB since January 2016, Brian supervises an engineering team of five and oversees a network operations team of eight. Additionally, Brian works as a part-time Camera Shader and Operator for Midco Sports Network since May 2018, and previously shaded cameras for prestigious broadcasters such as ESPN, CBS Sports, and NBC Sports from January 2014 to January 2016. Brian’s earlier role as a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer at BYUtv involved overseeing engineering operations for numerous live sports and events, along with mentoring students in camera shading techniques. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, earned between 2003 and 2009.
