Alan Young

Alan Young serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Medgene Labs LLC, focusing on precision vaccines for agricultural animals since 2011. Additionally, Alan has held dual roles at South Dakota State University since 2001, including Assistant Director of the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine and Professor of Veterinary and Biomedical Science, where Alan specializes in vaccine development and comparative immunology. Previous experience includes serving as Technology Lead at SD Innovation Partners, Instructor at Harvard Medical School, and Scientific Member at the Basel Institute for Immunology. Alan obtained a Ph.D. in Immunology/Pathology from the University of Toronto, followed by a postdoctoral position in Trauma Research and Neuroimmunology.
