Ashley McConnell

Ashley McConnell is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in academic advising and student support at South Dakota State University. Currently serving as the Coordinator for Student Success, Ashley advises pre-medical and pre-genetic counseling students, teaches a First Year Seminar course, coordinates a Peer Mentoring Program, and leads Study Abroad Programs. Previous roles at the university include Academic Advisor, Coordinator, and Instructor for Pre-Medicine and Pre-Genetic Counseling students. Ashley's earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Biology and Microbiology and various leadership positions within the university, in addition to working as a 2nd Assistant Manager at Hy-Vee. Ashley holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from South Dakota State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics.
